We're so excited about creating healthy opportunities to women and expectant mothers in our community! Community Birth and Wellness Center a Non-Profit organization in North County St. Louis  serves North County Mothers and families! Our Ferguson  office is open every 4th Saturday for a Natural Childbirth Education Class! To reserve your spot please email info@cbwcstl.org or to speak to someone directly at CBWC please call 314-643-7703.

There’s an underserved population in the North County, St. Louis area due to income, cultural, and educational barriers. Because of these barriers, African-American women are 3-4 times more likely to be harmed or die during childbirth. The Community Birth and Wellness Center provides care by qualified birth professionals and women of color who live in St. Louis and who uphold cultural values of our communities. Together we're making progress to create equal access to midwives and healthy options for pregnancy, childbirth, and early parenting. Join me in celebrating these great accomplishments!!

Our Partners & Supporters are March of Dimes, UZAZI Village in Kansas, City Mo., and the UMSL department of Nursing.

Traditional Birth Care is a very ancient  form of sisterhood for the expecting mother. It's a wonderful feeling to have a woman to support, comfort and assist you along your birthing journey. Today that sister is called a Doula. Doula is a greek word meaning "a woman who serves", currently it means a woman who is trained to assist another woman during childbirth and who may provide support to the family after baby is born. To learn more about Tru's doula services please click the cosmic birthing tab.

Join Us for Our St. Louis Local Walk

for Black Infant Mortality Awareness

The Cosmic Grove hosted St. Louis's "Walk for Black Infant Mortality Awareness" September 9th 6:00-7:00pm at Spanish Lake Park. This walk helped to prepare those of us who wanted to join Sherry Payne with UZAZI Village for the 28 mile walk September 26-27, 2015 from Columbia to Jefferson City. It was also good for those who came out just to  support. We brought our awareness shirts, signs, and great vibes. We look forward to doing this again in 2018!!

I Am: Breastfeeding is a support meet up for all families with an emphasis on families of color seeking a sacred & inviting  space to learn more about  breastfeeding and for peer to peer support. Open to pregnant women, parenting families & partners.

Each month the group hosts a special speaker with different topics to support breastfeeding families. The group will offer peer to peer support but will be facilitated by a lactation consultant to provide oversight and clinical guidance when needed.

"I've never been synchronized with the lunar cycles. Since I met you my life somehow miraculously seems in sync with the lunar cycles more than ever before! Your name 'Tru' is most fitting. Thank you so much for opening that channel for me."

Professional Astrologist

I highly recommend Brittany “Tru” Campbell for any opportunity that will assist her on her journey with serving new mothers. As my Doula she was professional, attentive, cohesive with the other birthing staff, and genuinely concerned with my well-being. I make this recommendation with no reservations.

Flower Omega

Medicine Woman and Mother

Brittany (Tru) has been an integral part of my journey. Her wisdom, passion and warm spirit makes working with her very easy. As a doula Brittany offered support for my family and a peaceful energy during the birthing process. Our practitioner even asked for her information because she was so impressed with her abilities as a doula. I would recommend her to any mother to be.
